Minnesota Golf Courses in the City of Duluth

Minnesota golf courses come in a wide variety from 9-hole mom and pop courses to 54-hole resort complexes. In this series of articles we have been discussing different destination, today we will highlight the golf courses located in the city of Duluth. The following are the golf courses located in Duluth.
' Enger Park Golf Course, 1801 West Skyline Boulevard. Telephone number is 218-723-3452.
' Grand View Golf Duluth, 5665 Grand View Road. Telephone number is 218-624-3452.
' Lester Park Golf Course, 1860 Lester River Road. Telephone number is 218-525-0828.
' Northland Country Club, 3901 East Superior Street. Telephone number is 218-525-1970.
' Ridgeview Country Club, 700 West Redwing Street. Telephone number is 218-728-3285.
' Pike Lake Country Club, 7895 East Pike Lake Road. Telephone number is 218-729-8160.

Enger Park Golf Course is a 27 hole facility that is made up of three 9-hole courses referred to as the Front 9, Middle 9 and Back 9.From the blue tee markers which play the longest the Front 9 plays 3,359 yards with a course rating of 36.6 and a slope index of 134. The Middle 9 plays at 3,168 yards with a course rating of 35.7 and a slope index of 137 from the blue tee markers. The Back 9 plays at 3,214 yards with a course rating of 35.7 and a slope index of 127 from the blue tee markers. The 18-hole green fee is $27.00 and golf carts are also available for rent.

Grand View Golf is a 9-hole par 36, 2,742-yard golf course. There are tree lined narrow fairways and thick rough to challenge you on this golf course. This is a great place to play a quick nine for a family that may have young or beginning golfers in the group.

Lester Park Golf Course is a 27-hole facility that is made up of three 9-hole courses referred to as the Front 9, Back 9 and the Lake 9. From the blue tee markers that are the back tees the Front 9 plays 3,182 yards with a course rating of 35.4 and a slope index of 117. The Back 9 plays 3,189 yards with a course rating of 35.4 and a slope index of 118 from the blue tee markers. The Lake 9 plays at 3,417 yards with a course rating of 36.3 and a slope rating of 133 from the back tee markers. The 18- hole green fee is $27.00 and golf carts are also available for rent.

Northland Country Club is an 18-hole course designed by Donald Ross. This is a private club that offers golf, tennis, swimming as well as cross country skiing during the winter months. Northland Country Club is recognized as a Top 5 course in Minnesota as well as a Top 100 course in the USA. If you have to opportunity to play at Northland accept the offer to play this grand course, which was established in 1899 with spectacular views of Lake Superior.

Ridgeview Country Club is a private member owned club located on the northeast edge of Duluth. The club was established in 1921 offers elevation changes along with natural rustic beauty making for a challenging golf course.

Pike Lake Country Club is a semi-private golf course that began in 1917 as a one-hole course. Over the years additional holes were added and in 1937 this 9-hole par 30 2,154-yard golf course was completed.
