Vasectomy Reversals

These days science is booming. Scientists are developing and honing procedures that were once difficult and risky and highly unreliable. Previously if a man had a vasectomy and then remarried or just changed his mind and wanted to have children he was basically out of luck. No longer is the idea of reversing a vasectomy a pipe dream. A man that wants to turn back the hands of time to before he had his vasectomy can undergo a vasectomy reversal. When the procedure of vasectomy reversal was first developed the procedure was a lot more hit and miss, with a whole lot of misses. Nowadays the vasectomy reversal is a relatively successful procedure for a man to undergo. There are a few factors that contribute to the success rate of a vasectomy reversal so the more of these factors that are in line the higher the rate of success. No matter how high the success rate can climb there is never a 100% success rate and there are no guarantees that the vasectomy reversal will actually lead to the birth of a new child.

One pretty large factor of whether or not a vasectomy reversal will produce a child is the length of time since the man had his vasectomy. The shorter the window between the vasectomy and vasectomy reversal the more likely it is that the procedure will be effective. Though it is a good indicator the length of time is not a definite determining factor since there are men that have successful vasectomy reversals after decades of time has elapsed since their original vasectomy. Some other factors can be the length of vas deferens on the testicle side left over from the vasectomy and a small vas deferens gap are two of the many good indicators.

Consult with your doctor and allow them to run the necessary tests and conduct the necessary exams to determine the odds of your vasectomy reversal joining the ranks of successful child producing vasectomy reversals.
