Wrinkle Treatment

Have you ever looked into the mirror and noticed that you seem to be getting more and more wrinkles everyday? If you answered yes, do not worry; there are many wrinkle removing treatments available.

Wrinkles are caused when our skin loses its elasticity due to aging or photo damage. These wrinkles can begin to show up as early as the age of twenty-seven in most people, but in some people it can begin to show up as early as their late teens. Factors that contribute to how early you begin to see wrinkles on your face depend on your genetics, facial habits, and skin care regimen.

The least expensive and most common form of treatment for wrinkles is the use of over-the-counter lotions, creams, and potions. These products work by removing the outer layer of your skin to expose a new, fresh layer of skin. Products such as alpha hydroxy acids and beta hydroxy acids are the ones commonly used to perform this function. Between the two, beta hydroxy acids are what dermatologists recommend the most.

A combination of hydroxy acids is also marketed over the counter. This product is a combination of both alpha hydroxy and beta hydroxy acids of equal concentration. This product is not recommended by dermatologists due to the fact that it is unnecessary to combine the two different products. This is nothing but a marketing ploy; it does not increase the effectiveness of the products. Buying this product is nothing but a waste of money.

Another marketing ploy is the promotion of a product called triple hydroxy acid. This product contains lactic, malic citric, and glycolic acids, which claim to be more effective than both alpha and beta hydroxy acids. This product will work as well as those two other products, but not better than they do. Considering that this is far more expensive than the other two, it would be a waste of your money to purchase these products.

You have many options at your disposal to reduce the signs of aging. It is only a matter of looking for the right one for you. Do the proper research, and do not be fooled by marketing ploys that want you to spend more money than you should.
