HYIP's as a Cult

I know the title of this article sounds a bit crazy, but I am writing this to bring up a very good point. Over the last couple years I have noticed that many of the larger HYIPs tend to develop a following much like that of a cult. Any negativity, doubts, or critisism directed towards the program is quickly turned around by the HYIP's members, and directed towards the person that's questioning the HYIP. This is seen over and over again in many of the public forums and chatrooms of most large programs. Like a cult, these people tend to act as one, seemingly brainwashed to think that the program admin is a savior, a person whom is 100% honest and always on the ball. Having been active in some of these chat rooms and forums, it is quite scarey to watch hundreds if not thousands of individuals blindly following an admin that they nor any other investors has ever met, or seen any proof of transactions. 99.99% of the time these programs end up failing, and those same people who trusted the program with thier hard earned money now are lost for words.

The point of this article is to open up the eyes of these members. We understand that people get excited over the possibility of turning $100 into $20,000, however, one must be open minded and take in everything, not just what the admin throws at them. If you see someone questioning a program you are in, don't tell them that they are ignorant. Instead, listen to what they have to say, and allow others to as well. Most likely programs that prohibit freedom of speech and opinions are those that are going to scam you in the future.

In conclusion, if you find yourself viewing things in one direction rather then looking at the whole scope of things, wake up and think for yourself. Don't allow the the opinions of thousands of investors affect your thinking, and most of all investing. We have seen the same thing happen over and over again; Cult like followings of HYIP's, then they collapse and everyone is left wondering how they could actually believe that 2% per day for life was possible.
