7 Top Secrets to Business Article Online Writing

If you have expertise in a certain field or industry then you should write a business article to tell of it and then put your byline at the bottom of the article so people can contact you. This will help you in several ways. First, consider it will position you as someone who knows what they are talking about and second it might just bring you business, as people normally wish to do business with people who know their stuff.

I have written over 1000 business articles in the last 18-months and since I have expertise in writing business articles, it makes sense for me to tell you of this for the reasons stated above. Here are the secrets I have learned and wish to pass onto you.

1.) Always try to pick relevant topics to your industry and things that maybe known to the industry, but are not necessarily considered general knowledge

2.) Pick a title for your article which describes the subject and put the main key words in the first three words of that title. You may want to adjust the title once the article is completed.

3.) Keep your articles short as in under 500 words if possible. When they go over this which is quite common, see if you can break it into 2 or 3 articles of 300 words or slightly over.

4.) If you are new at business article writing then consider making a short outline first or put the main points on an open word file and make sure you weave these into the article as you go.

5.) While writing your article consider sub-themes or ideas and write down possible other titles for your next article.

6.) Try to do as little assuming as possible as to the knowledge level in the industry of the reader. Online articles are often read by just about anyway or someone searching the topic who knows little if anything about what your subject.

7.) Finish your article with catchy sentence that makes the reader think or act upon the information. For instance it encourages them to make a decision or consider a purchase or change their methods.

If you do these things you will find that your business articles help others and in turn help you too. Indeed you will be giving knowledge to the world of business and this gift will come back to you in many ways. I sincerely hope you will consider all this in 2006. Now, open a word processor program on your computer pick a title and make a few sentences below it and go back below the title and start writing. Stop at 6-7 column inches and think of good ending and you have written a business article, next post it online.
